New Legislation in Prince George County, MD has been passed recently that will be going into effect for all new residents on July 1st, 2023 (existing residents have until October 1st, 2023). There are some key pieces that everyone should know about leading up to July 1st:

  • The legislation mirrors California’s SB-1157.
  • Portfolios with 15+ units must offer residents the option of reporting their rental payments to the credit bureaus.
  • Resident Reporting must not exceed $10 in resident expenses.
  • Residents must be allowed to opt-out via written notice.
